TRUSSVILLE – Alabama Ortho Spine & Sports in Trussville has added an orthopedic surgeon to their team specializing in hand and elbow surgery. Dr. Joseph Ingram, native of Petal, Mississippi, will be joining the team this week in Trussville located at 1801 Gadsden Highway.
Dr. Ingram specializes in problems from the elbow extending to the fingertips, including microvascular surgery and performs surgery for fractures, sports related injuries to the hand and elbow, joint replacement for arthritis, peripheral nerve surgery and other conditions affecting the elbow, hand, and wrist.
Ingram graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center and completed his hand surgery fellowship at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.
Ingram was awarded the Hattiesburg Physician’s Scholarship and was induced into the Gold Humanism Honor Society that recognizes students who exemplify compassionate patient care.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and American Association for Surgery of the Hand.
