TRUSSVILLE — In partnership with the Jefferson County Family Court the Trussville City Schools will host the second annual Truancy Intervention Program (TIP) Conference.
The conference will be hosted Tuesday, August 28 at the Trussville Civic Center and will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast. Activities will conclude at noon.
The meeting promises to be a great opportunity to learn from local districts what strategies will be implemented to increase school attendance.
According to information from the Alabama Juvenile Task force truancy is the number one complaint of all low-level offences filed in the state of Alabama.
