BIRMINGHAM – The Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide which occurred on Thursday, August 23 at 6108 Warner Street in Birmingham.
The victim has been identified as Quantis Samuels, 26, of Birmingham.
At approximately 8:20 p.m., Birmingham police officers from the West Precinct responded to the location on a report of an assault. Once they arrived, they found Samuels suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to UAB hospital for treatment where he died from his injuries.
A second female shooting victim was also located near the scene suffering from a non-life threatening wound.
Officers also located the suspect identified as Dwain Daniel, 30, at the scene and took him into custody. A warrant for murder has been obtained against the Daniel. He is in the custody of the Birmingham City Jail.
