BESSEMER — Makeil James Gordon, 19, died early Saturday morning as a result of a four-vehicle accident that occurred in the area of Prattville, as reported by Al.com.
At 3:10 a.m. Gordon’s car careened off the road into the median and overturned, heading into the opposite lanes of traffic on Interstate 65.
According to troopers Gordon was not wearing his seat-belt and, as a result of the accident, was ejected from his car.
During the course of events Gordon’s vehicle was impacted by three other vehicles after entering the opposite lane of traffic.
Two passengers, one in Gordon’s vehicle and one in a vehicle his car collided with, were injured. Both were transported to a nearby hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation.
