BIRMINGHAM- Detectives for the Birmingham Police Department are performing an investigation into a robbery that occurred on Thursday, near 77 Street South.
Officers were dispatched to the location in response to a report that a citizen had been robbed of their vehicle. The initial investigation revealed that the suspect took a 2016 Nissan Sentra, the vehicle was described as having tinted windows and a large dent on the roof, from the victim. At the time of the theft the vehicle contained the victim’s credit and debit cards. Within an hour and a half of the theft the credit and debit cards were used by an unknown black male. Investigators procured surveillance photo and videos of the unknown subject that had used the credit/debit cards.
