TRUSSVILLE— The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies(0-1) travel to Cumming, GA to face off with the West Forsyth Wolverines (0-1) as both teams look to get their first win of the 2018 season. The Huskies are coming off of a 34-30 loss to Cedar Grove (Ga.) while the Wolverines look to rebound from a 27-20 loss to Camden County.
The Huskies biggest hurdle to overcome this week is the performance on defense and special teams. Cedar Grove blocked an extra point and a 16 yard punt from the Huskies added to the woes felt in their loss last week.
Look for defensive end and special teams go-getter Tyler Antkowiak to add his 12 tackles from last week.
All is not lost for the defensive side for the Huskies as they did have four sacks against Cedar Grove.
The offense for the Huskies looked unstoppable at times and look for that to continue this week. Paul Tyson is coming off of a game in which he completed 35 passes and over 400 yards passing with over 100 yards coming from Dazalin Worsham and Ja’Varrius Johnson each.
Sophomore tailback Armoni Goodwin looks to add to his impressive numbers as he rushed for 156 yards against Cedar Grove.
The Huskies are expected to keep the points high with the offensive power and the defense will look to bounce back and make those big plays few and far between.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 eastern/ 6:30 central time.
