OHATCHEE, AL — Ohatchee police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked and robbed an elderly woman Sunday morning, September 2, before entering the church.
According to the Ohatchee police department’s Facebook page, the incident occurred at approximately 9:00 am Sunday morning at Christian Assembly Church located at 1270 Cherokee Trail in Ohatchee.
The suspect approached the 89-year-old victim from the woodline and shoved her to the ground as he took her red in color purse.
The victim suffered a serious head injury and is being treated at an area hospital.
The suspect is described as a black male, young, short, with a medium complexion.
