From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE, AL – The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce recognized its most recent Customer Service Award recipient during its monthly luncheon on September 20 at the Trussville Civic Center.
The nominator shared this statement about the September winner.
”I was checking out at Fresh Value Marketplace today. There was a senior lady at the customer service register, and she told the person behind the counter that her clothes were too big now because she’d lost weight, and that was because she didn’t have enough money for the groceries she needed. The lady also told her she was having to move.
One of the employees, Taylor Martin, told her to get what she needed. And he would check on her while she was shopping to make sure she was finding what she needed. Taylor told us that he would pay for her groceries.
The other employee and I were discussing how she would get home, and I offered to take her, Taylor talked with her and found out that her niece was waiting to give her a ride. I think this definitely went beyond customer service!”
Taylor couldn’t attend the luncheon as he is a student at UAB and was in class that day. The award was presented to Taylor at Fresh Value Marketplace later that day.
