BIRMINGHAM –Police are investigating after a woman suffered life-threatening injuries when she was shot while she stopped for a stop sign on Oporto-Madrid Boulevard in Birmingham.
The incident occurred on Sunday, police said. The victim, a female in her 30’s, had her young daughter in the backseat and she stopped for a stop sign at Oporto-Madrid and First Avenue South.
Shots were fired from a second vehicle also at the stop sign. Her daughter was not injured in the shooting.
The victim was transported with life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made in the incident.
