From the Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE – On Sunday the Father Daughter Royal Princess Ball will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trussville Civic Center.
The event will feature a lunch provided by Olive Garden, performances by princess favorites and a meet and greet with Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel and Moana.
The Ball is being hosted by Miss Trussville’s Outstanding Teen MaKenzie Ward.
Ward’s personal platform is pediatric cancer awareness and all proceeds from the event will go directly to further pediatric cancer research.
In addition to fundraising for the cause Ward is seeking to raise awareness about it. During the month of September she worked to bring attention to the issue by selling door hangers, selling t-shirts and decorating the town in yellow ribbons. She has also donated eight inches of her hair to Children with Hair Loss, an organization that provides wigs for children who lose their hair due to illness.
“I am thrilled with the amount of support I have received from Trussville and the surrounding communities this month,” said Ward. “The Father Daughter Royal Princess Ball will be a great way to wrap up Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and provide a way for parents to make memories with their daughters while giving back to a great cause at the same time.”
Father/daughter royal combo tickets can be purchased for $50 online at Eventbrite. Additional tickets can be purchased for $15 per child by emailing royalcelebrationsal@gmail.com.
Any individual or business interested in the different sponsorship packages available for the event, or purchasing a door hanger or t-shirt, can contact 205-914-2229 or royalcelebrationsal@gmail.com for more information.
