HOMEWOOD – After being abandoned by their owner ten dogs have been rescued by the Homewood police, according to Carol Robinson of Al.com
Officers were clued into the situation by a complaint from the public. When animal control arrived on scene they discovered six dogs in the back yard that were in poor health and had to drink stagnant water.
An additional four dogs were found inside the house.
Authorities transported the animals to Vulcan Park Animal Clinic.
The dogs had been on their own for as long as a month.
