WASHINGTON D.C. –A 27-year-old Washington D.C. man who spent time on the staff of at least three Democrat legislators has been arrested by Capitol Police for releasing personal information of three Republican senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Jackson Cosko worked most recently for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas. In the past, he has worked with Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., former Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer of California, and interned for Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
Cosko was charged with making restricted personal information public, threats in interstate communication, unauthorized access of a government computer, witness tampering, identity theft, second degree burglary and unlawful entry.
The personal information was posted to Wikipedia during the hearing in which Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Wikipedia pages of Sens. Mike Lee of Utah, Orrin Hatch of Utah and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina were edited to reveal their home addresses, cellphone numbers and email addresses.
More charges are possible, according to Capitol Police.
