TRUSSVILLE – A record crowd attended the 10th Annual Taste of Trussville. The food tasting event on Thursday, September 27, at the Trussville Civic Center, produced by the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event was rebranded in honor of its 10th anniversary and celebrated with a new logo, a new name, new entertainment, and a new lower family-friendly ticket price.
This year the Taste of Trussville, formerly Trussville’s Art Show and Tasting event,featured food samples from a record 20 area restaurants,bakeries, and other food establishments, live entertainment, and a cash bar.
The event was sponsored by Amerex Corporation. Other sponsors included the City of Trussville and Birmingham Coca-Cola (corporate partners): The Trussville Tribune(wristband sponsor); BancorpSouth (dance floor sponsor); America’s First Credit Union, BB&T Wealth, Bryant Bank, Starnes Publishing Co., and Trussville Gas & Water (reserved table sponsors); and Alabama Power Company, Stewart Facility Services, and Tice & Associates (cocktail table sponsors).
Entertainment for the event was provided by the Trussville Senior Dancers, who not only performed for the crowd but also encouraged audience participation by teaching a few dancesteps.
A portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Trussville helps to fund scholarships for local students.
