HOMEWOOD –Two men pointed a gun at a woman’s head in the Walmart parking lot on Lakeshore Parkway in Homewood on Friday morning and carjacked her vehicle, according to the Homewood police.
The two men were later arrested following a chase into Birmingham that ended at Oporto Madrid Boulevard and First Avenue South, according to WIAT.
The incident occurred at 1:06 a.m. when two black males put a gun to the victim’s head and demanded her vehicle as she approached her car.
Police spotted the stolen 2005 silver Buick Lesabre on Interstate-65, but the suspects refused to stop. The suspects eventually hit two Homewood police vehicles and came to a stop. Police recovered a handgun in the vehicle.
Kevin Elice Payne, 20, of Birmingham is charged with robbery first degree. Kenmarious Markeon Faulkner, 18, of Birmingham, is charged with robbery first degree and attempting to elude. Bond for Payne is set at $50,000 Bond for Faulkner is set at $15,000. Both are awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail.
