HOMEWOOD – Police are investigating a man that was found shot to death, Tuesday, on Interstate 65 in Homewood, according to Carol Robinson of Al.com
Reports of a person shot were responded to at 11:35 p.m. Officers discovered the victim on the off-ramp of I-65 northbound to Oxmoor Road.
The victim was transported to UAB, but succumbed to his wounds on Wednesday.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office have confirmed that the victim was a black male, however the victim’s name has not been released.
Sgt. John Carr, of the Homewood Police, has advised that a possible suspect vehicle has been described as a black four-door sedan. Authorities are requesting that anyone that had been in that area during the times of 11:25 to 11:35 p.m. to call Det. Sgt. Trent Peoples at 205-332-6235 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254- 7777 if they witnessed any type of incident involving the victim’s vehicle or a possible suspect vehicle.
