DUBLIN, Ga – The Dublin Police department have shared a public awareness announcement about methamphetamine pills which could be mistaken for candy and asked parents to be very discriminating.
The public awareness announcement included images and a description of what to look for when observing candy this Halloween season.
The pills are small, colorful, and stamped pills. Parents are encouraged to call 911 if they see anything suspicious in their children’s trick-or-treat bag as well as bring it to the attention of their local sheriff’s office.
Other warnings provided by the
Food and Drug Administration also posted Halloween safety tips for parents on their website. Some tips include avoiding eating not candy witout commercially wrapped paper as well as how to avoid the acceptance of home-baked goods especially if your child has dietary sensitivities or food allergies.
