Markus Washington hid in the freezer of the restaurant, and heard more than 15 shots being fired.
Washington said, “I was making two quarter-pounders and heard three shots ring, and then exchange of gunfire.”
Washington is thankful for the customer, armed with a gun, that was able to stop the masked assailant.
“I’m feeling grateful,” he said. “Wrapping my head around it all, I was just wishing someone would come wake me up from this nightmare.”
