TRENTON, NJ – An outbreak of a respiratory virus at a New Jersey pediatric rehabilitation center has led to nine deaths, according to ABC 33/40.
New Jersey health officials said, “another medically fragile child” died at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation on Saturday night.
Those impacted by the outbreak have mostly been between the age of toddlers to 18.
Adenovirus is generally not life-threatening for healthy people. The outbreak can be declared as over once four weeks have passed without a new infection.
