TRUSSVILLE – Owners of Sonic in Trussville are looking to Trussville residents for feedback on their restaurant located in Trussville.
Bly Gravlee, co-owner of 10 Sonic locations across the Birmingham Metro area, says he believes that having residents of Trussville select their restaurant and location is key.
“Our current location in Trussville sits on a 1/2 acre and is landlocked,” said Gravlee. “We do not have the ability to add a patio area, but could do this on a larger lot.”
Gravlee added that with the upcoming redevelopment in downtown Trussville, a planned traffic light will be installed at the entrance of the current location which could potentially create traffic issues.
There may be a solution and this is where residents’ input can come into play.
A lot Gravlee is interested is located between Homestead Village Shopping Center and U.S. Express Car Wash off of Gadsden highway.
“The architectural drawings are from our Calera location which would also fit the lot size near Homestead Village and provide more room for patio space,” said Gravlee.
The only concern is the “right turn only” in front of the lot.
“The lot size would be ideal, but I am not sure about how customers would like how the restaurant’s exit traffic would be diverted through Homestead Village,” he added.
Now Gravlee is asking for your input. Below is a poll with the question of where the Trussville Sonic should be located. The poll will be open until Sunday.
