FLORIDA — On Saturday Florida state election officials announced that the races for Florida’s governor and a senate seat will be subjected to recounts, according to WERC.
The senate and gubernatorial races have a difference, between the winner and loser, of less than .25 percent and .4 percent, respectively.
According to WERC Broward and Palm Beach counties have seen the arrival of numerous lawyers that are representing the various candidates.
WERC is also reporting that, according to Florida election law, there must be a statewide machine recount if the margin of victory is less than .5 percent of the vote and a manual recount will be required when the margin is less than .25 percent.
