BIRMINGHAM – The deceased alleged shooter from the Riverchase Galleria Mall shooting, where two were injured, has been identified.
Twenty-one-year-old Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr., a black male from Hueytown, was pronounced dead at the scene on Thursday, Nov. 22, at 10:11 p.m.

On Thursday, Nov. 22, two adult males got into a physical altercation near the Foot Action store inside the Galleria and an 18-year-old male was shot twice in the torso during the argument, police said.
Bradford, who was still armed, fled the area when a Hoover police officer encountered him. The officer shot and killed the suspect.
The officer has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office began the investigation of the officer involved in the shooting at the request of the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. The investigation has now been turned over to ALEA due to a potential conflict of interest.
