BIRMINGHAM –A homicide investigation is underway in Birmingham after a man was shot to death on Thanksgiving night.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sgt. Johnny Williams of the Birmingham Police Department said.
Williams identified the victim as Lyndell Miller, a 22-year-old black male from Birmingham.
Officers from the North Precinct responded to 3191-B 42nd Avenue North to investigate a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located the victim inside the apartment unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived, along with the Jefferson County Coroner, and the victim was pronounced deceased as a result of his injury.
No suspects are in custody.
