TUSCALOOSA — For many, the Iron Bowl is the biggest sporting event of the year, and with so many descending upon Tuscaloosa to take in this year’s competition, police will be increasing security, according to WIAT.
Several different law enforcement agencies will be providing that security, including the University of Alabama Police Department, Tuscaloosa Police, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies and Alabama State Troopers.
Sidney Obgogu, a University of Alabama student and fan of the Crimson Tide, is thankful for the increased law enforcement presence.
“It makes me feel safe that the school is there for us and we are protected if anything happens and its good,” Ogbogu said.
WIAT also reported that the different law enforcement agencies will be located in different locations all around campus for game day.
