BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department reported that detectives are conducting a missing person investigation. The subject was last seen at approximately 3 a.m. on Tuesday.
The Birmingham Police Department is requesting assistance from the public on locating the subject in the attached photo.
Birmingham Police have identified the missing person as Alto Griffin, 68-year-old black male, of Poulan, Georgia.
Griffin is described as being 5-foot-6 and weighing 156 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
According to authorities, while traveling by Greyhound Bus from San Antonio, Texas, the missing person became separated from his wife during a stop at the Greyhound Bus terminal in Birmingham. Griffin was recently diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer’s. Griffin is a retired war veteran, last seen wearing a black Michael Kors jacket with a hood, faded blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
