Vestavia Hills — Vestavia Hills High School had been placed on a soft lockdown after a bomb threat was received on Tuesday, according to social media postings from Carol Robinson of Al.com.

Bomb sniffing dogs from Hoover PD and Shelby County SO are responding to threat at Vestavia Hills High School -Carol Robinson on Twitter
Robinson also reported, via social media, that Hoover PD and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office have bomb sniffing dogs on scene.
At 2:59 p.m., Vestavia Hills High School reported, via social media, that the lockdown had been lifted and that an all-clear had been given by law enforcement.
12/4/18 2:59 p.m. The lockdown at @VHHSRebels was lifted at 2:47 p.m. after an all-clear was given from responding law enforcement agencies. The school is resuming its normal schedule, and dismissal will take place at the usual time with an enhanced police presence on campus. -Vestavia Hills High School Twitter
