TRUSSVILLE — During the last week of November, Cahaba Elementary School students participated in the first annual Spelling Bee.
Each fifth grade class held the first round of competition in their classrooms and two students from each class advanced to the school-wide spelling bee competition. Cahaba Elementary School Spelling Bee competitors included Mylee Stults, Maci Herring, Pierce Heinzman, Hannah Claire Miller, Braden Smith, Charlie Crowson, Faith Lovetto and Taylor Waldo.
After a 75-minute competition, the winner was announced as Pierce Heinzman, who will compete for the District Title in January.
