TRUSSVILLE – The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Trussville Christmas Parade, which was scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 8, has been rescheduled due to rainy weather conditions. The annual parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 15.
The Christmas Parade will pass through historic Downtown Trussville at 3 p.m. in the afternoon. The parade will begin on Parkway Drive. It will turn right onto Gadsden Highway and right again onto Chalkville Mountain Road. The parade will end at the Mall.
The City’s tree lighting event is still planned for Friday, Dec. 7. There will be Christmas carols, Christmas activities and snacks, and more. Santa is also expected to attend. The event will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.. Those who attend the tree lighting are also invited to bring to the event a new unwrapped toy for the Trussville Fire Department’s annual toy drive.
