BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department reported that detectives have made an arrest in connection with a robbery investigation. The incident happened on Dec. 3.
Drug robbery at CVS, Birmingham Police request assistance in identifying suspect
According to police, at approximately 9:10 a.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to the CVS Pharmacy located at 632 Tuscaloosa Avenue to investigate a report of a robbery. Officers arrived to find that the suspect entered the business and presented a note demanding various items. The suspect left the store with an undetermined amount of drugs.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Larayette Sanders, a 32-year-old black male, of Birmingham. Police obtained a warrant for first degree robbery and arrested the suspect.
Sanders is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail. Records show that he was booked into the jail on Dec. 14 and is being held on a total bond of $30,000.
