BLOUNT COUNTY — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that Interstate 65 N near mile marker 287 is closed due to a three-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.
The crash, involving a tanker truck, pickup truck and a passenger car, occurred around 4:20 p.m. ALEA reported that the tractor cab is positioned on top of the concrete barrier, which was on fire. The fire is out, but there is only one lane open Southbound. There is one non-life threatening injury.
There was a minor diesel and gasoline spill, which has been contained. Alabama State Troopers, Blount County Sheriff’s Deputies and ALDOT are all on the scene of the crash. Clean-up crews are in route to the scene.
