JEFFERSON COUNTY — Jefferson County sheriff’s officers took a man into custody after he was found running, while naked, through traffic, according to Carol Robinson of Al.com.
Robinson reported that on Wednesday afternoon, deputies from the Center Point substation were dispatched to the intersection of Alabama 79 and Red Hollow Road in regards to a man that was completely naked and running through traffic. Once on scene, authorities attempted to take the man into custody. Once he was apprehended, the man bit a deputy on the hand.
The unidentified suspect was taken to UAB Hospital and sedated. Once lucid, he was read his rights and questioned. The suspect informed authorities that the ‘devil’ told him to go streaking through traffic, according to Robinson.
The suspect was later transported to the Birmingham Jail where he was charged with resisting arrest, public lewdness and disorderly conduct.
