MOODY — Moody Police reported that multiple vehicles in subdivisions throughout the city were broken into during the early morning hours of Thursday.
Among the items taken from these vehicles were several firearms, according to Moody Police.
Based on video and witness statements, Moody Police believe the suspects to be at least five black males.
Authorities said that officers patrolling the area were able to stop and detain possible suspects in the case. One of the suspects was taken into custody on unrelated charges and is being looked at as a person of interest.
The Moody Police Department is requesting that anyone with home security cameras that may have captured images of the suspect or any citizens that may have seen the suspects contact the Moody Police Department at (205) 640-5121 or Tips@MoodyAlabama.com.
The Moody Police Department also wanted to remind citizens to not keep weapons or high value items in vehicles and to always lock doors.
