LEE COUNTY – According to WTVM a Humane Society in Lee County is looking into an incident of vandalism that occurred to its shelter on Jan. 7 at approximately 6 p.m.
On that date, a man appears to have intentionally caused damage to a fence while abandoning a pregnant female dog at the shelter, according to WTVM. The shelter reported that the man is believed to be between 25 years old and 40 years old and drove a four-door sedan.
WTVM reported that the next day, the suspect and an accomplice, said to be a woman of around the same age, left a male dog at the same location.
Shelter officials filed a police report and the incident is now being looked into by the Auburn Police Department, according to WTVM.
