GARDENDALE — UAB is opening up a brand new $34 million medical complex in Gardendale, according to WIAT, that will boast 12 exam rooms, lab services, a pharmacy and even a heleport.
WIAT reported that Gardendale Mayor Stan Hogeland had high hopes about what the project means for the city.
“You know, I saw it come up from the ground, so I was involved with the progress and everything but you just don’t get it until you walk in there and you say, wow, we’ve got a hospital right here in the heart of our town,” said Hogeland.
The new facility is located at 960 Mount Olive Road, according to WIAT, and there will be a public ribbon cutting for the new facility on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.
