BLOUNT COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash at 1:55 p.m. Saturday has claimed the life of a Locust Fork teenager, according to Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel.
The teenager was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition that left the roadway on Alabama Highway 79 and struck a tree. He was seriously injured and transported to UAB Hospital where he later died.
According to State Troopers, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The crash occurred two miles south of Locust Fork.
No further information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
