TRUSSVILLE — A weather rollercoaster is on the way to the local area this weekend.
There will be a 50 percent chance of rain on Thursday with highs in the mid 50s, and then a clearing before the wild swings start, according to the National Weather Service in Birmingham.
Early Saturday morning, rain chances will be at 50 percent and increase to 90 percent during the day with some possible thunder. Highs will be in the mid 60s.
As the rain clears out, temperatures will plunge down to the 30s overnight Saturday and will remain in the 30s throughout the day on Sunday. Monday will only see highs in the low 40s.
