From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE – The Trussville location of Zoës Kitchen hosted a fundraiser for the family of fallen Birmingham Police Sgt. Wytasha Carter on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
“Originally founded in Birmingham by Zoë Cassimus in 1995,” said a company representative, “the local community still holds a special place in the heart and soul of Zoës Kitchen. Following the terrible tragedy of that night on January 13, the brand wanted to take some meaningful step toward helping the Carter family and the broader Birmingham community begin to heal.”
Zoës Kitchen will donate 25 percent of all proceeds directly to the Carter family.
Zoës Kitchen has locations in Trussville, Vestavia, Soho, Crestline, Brook Highlands, Summit, Downtown Birmingham and Patton Creek. All eight of the locations will be participating in the fundraiser.
The Trussville Zoës Kitchen is located at 5431 Patrick Way Suite 113.
