MONTGOMERY — A student was shot at Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery on Tuesday.
WVTM reported that the student, a 17-year-old, had been shot in the arm while inside of the school’s gymnasium. The student was later transported to a hospital where the student was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The campus was placed on lockdown while the incident was investigated, and authorities have the suspect in custody, said WVTM.
The reason behind the shooting has not been revealed by authorities.
