PINSON — An employee of Pinson Valley High School has been arrested for enticing a child for immoral purposes.
According to Capt. David Agee of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the school resource office assigned to Pinson Valley High School was alerted that an employee might be having improper communications with a student on Wednesday. Sheriff’s detectives began to investigate and found evidence that a crime had been committed.
Authorities said that 27-year-old Ladarius Thomas Frazier was arrested for Enticing a Child for Immoral Purposes and held on a $50,000.00 bond.
According to law enforcement, the victim is a 15-year-old female student.
Frazier worked as a special education assistant and assistant boys basketball coach, officials said.
The Trussville Tribune has confirmed that Frazier was not on the bench for Wednesday’s game when the Indians defeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa at Legacy Arena in the semi-finals of the 6A state championships. The win advanced Pinson Valley to the 6A championship game on Saturday.
