Washington – House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has announced Congressman Gary Palmer (R-AL) as one of the new members who will serve on the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.
Congressman Palmer released the following statement:
“I look forward to serving on the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. My hope is that the Committee will examine the underlying causes of ‘climate change’ and focus on sensible solutions.”
The Select Committee on the Climate Crisis was established as part of the 116th United States Congress, when democrats assumed the majority.
“I am pleased to appoint Congressman Gary Palmer to the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis,” McCarthy said. “Gary’s commitment to common sense solutions will ensure we continue to make strides towards a healthy environment without sacrificing the other priorities of the American people.”
In addition to Palmer, five other republican members were named: Ranking Member Garret Graves (R-LA), Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA), Congressman Buddy Carter (R-GA), Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV), and Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND).
