TUSCALOOSA – Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 31-year-old man after he was discovered in the bedroom of a 12-year-old on Tuesday.
The situation was discovered by the child’s mother who immediately contacted authorities.

The suspect, 31-year-old Alfonzo Guzman, is alleged to have offered to pay the child money in exchange for sexual activities, according to The Tuscaloosa News. When found by the mother, Guzman departed the scene through a window.
Though gone, he left his jacket, shoes, keys and cell phone at the home. The mother called 911 to report the incident.
The Tuscaloosa News said that the girl informed the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office that Guzman had reached out to her by phone and that is how he offered her money for sex.
“The girl agreed and allowed Guzman in the house after he arrived and they went into her bedroom,” said Capt. Gary Hood of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit. “Guzman left through the window, leaving his belongings behind. The suspect was located at his residence and taken to the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit where he admitted to going to the house and being in bed with the naked girl.”
Guzman was charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with a bond of $60,000, according to The Tuscaloosa News.
