CLEBURNE COUNTY — According to the Alabama State Troopers, a 27-year-old Alabama man was killed in a Monday morning crash.
A two-vehicle crash at 6:35 a.m. on Monday has claimed the life of a Heflin man. Remington Clay Messer, 27, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 78 when the 2001 Chevrolet pickup he was driving collided with a 2015 Freightliner that was traveling east.
The crash occurred at the 187.2 mile marker, nine miles east of Heflin. Messer was pronounced dead at the scene. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
