PELL CITY — The Pinon Valley Indians softball team went the distance with Pell City on Tuesday night, but a run late in the game secured a 2-1 victory for Pell City over the Indians.
Pinson Valley and Pell City can both be proud of the effort put in from the mound. Pell City Pitchers notched four strike outs and the Indians logged seven.
Ka’Maya Hampton started on the mound for the Indians going five and a third innings. Hampton allowed three hits and two runs. She struck out seven.
Jordan Walker threw a two-thirds of an inning in relief.
The Indians logged six hits in the game, owing to the efforts of Hope Cole and Hampton, each of whom provided two hits for Pinson Valley.
