Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will ever make. So when it comes to choosing a real estate agent, the only sensible thing to do is choose the best.
“It’s as simple as that,” said Kevin Sargent, a Trussville resident and Vice President of Operations for Brik Realty. “Nobody wants less than the most capable and knowledgeable person they can find to guide them through those all-important real estate transactions, and they’ll find some of the best agents in the business at Brik. When you’ve got the best guidance, you’re going to get the best results.”
Choosing a Brik agent, said Sargent, means choosing an agent backed by the most powerful name in the Trussville market and surrounding areas. Founded by Gusty Gulas in 2014, Brik Realty has exceeded expectations with its customer-centric and technologically advanced way of serving local homebuyers and sellers.
“Our agents or teams each have a unique capability of guiding their clients with the utmost care and respect,” Sargent said. “And unlike most agents, they travel the country in search of the latest systems, knowledge and technology used by the top agents nationwide to bring it back home and implement for you, the local client.”
Brik agents are also deeply rooted in the community, schools and neighborhoods in which they sell. They love their communities and regularly donate time and money to their churches, schools, local clubs, civic groups, first responders and non-profits.
“Our very own Chad Maddox is a Center Point firefighter, as well as an extremely successful new agent,” said Sargent. “We also have agents like Jean Thrasher, Christy McDonald, Josh Vernon, Allen Kennemur, Mercy Lozinski, and our Managing Broker Michelle Dickey, who all bring years of knowledge and experience of the industry before, during and after the recession.”
Brik Trussville, said Sargent, had an incredible 2018, with the office being named #1 in the Eastern Birmingham area, which includes Trussville, Springville, Argo, Odenville, Pinson, Clay, Oneonta, Moody/Leeds, and Irondale. According to the Greater Alabama MLS statistics, the office sold 846 homes for a total volume of $177,587,300. In Trussville alone, the office helped clients buy or sell 234 homes for a total volume of $64,375,553.
“At the end of the day, I’m proud to say we have the absolute best collection of individuals that happen to be the best group of Realtors I know anywhere in town,” said Sargent. “I’m beyond proud to work with each of these agents and call them all friends and really, an extended family. I have zero doubt that if you call one of the many Brik Realty agents, you’ll be extremely happy with the service you receive.”
But outside of sales, the biggest news for Brik Trussville concerns some pretty spectacular plans for relocating its office.
“In 2019, we’ll move down Main Street to the old Braden’s Furniture building, and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Sargent. “The building will feature a French Quarter-themed style and will fit the incredible downtown Trussville transition that’s taking place.”
Brik Trussville will occupy the entire second floor of the building with other professional service companies leasing space on the ground floor. The office’s new home, said Sargent, will offer a comfortable and convenient place for agents and clients to meet, not to mention allow some room to grow.
“After opening at our current location at 192 Main Street with just 14 agents in 2016, we quickly grew to nearly 50 agents and began bursting at the seams,” he said. “But we really like being downtown. So we’re very pleased that the new location gives us the ability to remain in the heart of Trussville and central to all the areas we serve. We’re proud to be a part of the revitalization of downtown Trussville.”
