From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
ARGO — People in the city of Argo will soon have a storm shelter.
The shelter will be behind City Hall at 100 Blackjack Road. The city matched a federal grant to hire a company in Bessemer to construct the shelter.
The above-ground shelter will house up to 100 people.
Argo Mayor Betty Bradley hopes to start construction within the next month. She said it will only take three months to complete.
The city is now looking for a generator for the shelter and city offices.
