TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Rotary Daybreak Club has named its Students and Teachers of the Month for March from Hewitt-Trussville High School and Clay-Chalkville High School.
The Don Haisten Student of the Month from Hewitt-Trussville is Samantha J. Kalchik. Kalchik is a sophomore and is a member of the National Jr. Honor Society and the Theater Club. She is a student ambassador and attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Conference at the Space and Rocket Center in January. She is currently undecided about her college plans but would like to study abroad.
Kalchik selected as her Teacher of the Month Chaney Bowers, her English teacher.
Chase Williams, a senior, is the Clay-Chalkville Student of the Month. Her activities include the National Jr. Honor Society, broadcast journalist program, yearbook staff, and athletic department photographer. Williams plans to attend either Auburn University or the University of Alabama and major in sports media and broadcasting.
Williams selected her AP Biology and Anatomy Teacher, Sarah Brown, as her Teacher of the Month.
