TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department confirms Bryan Patrick Hancock, 22, of Pinson, is charged with capital murder in connection to the March 28, 2019 shooting at Cracker Barrel.
Randy Young was shot in the head in the parking lot of the restaurant on Norrell Drive. The victim was transported to the hospital by Trussville Fire and Rescue and was on life support for two days before succumbing to his injuries.
When officers arrived they were told two people connected to the crime that were still on the scene. The officers located the two and took them into custody for questioning.
It was determined the incident started after the suspects parked their vehicle in a manner that blocked the victim’s vehicle. Police determined an altercation escalated into a shooting.
