BLOUNT COUNTY – Beginning Sunday at 7 p.m., weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will close either the right or left two lanes of I-65 northbound at various locations for paving operations between the Mt. Olive Exit (Milepost 272) and just north of the Hayden Exit (Milepost 285). This activity will impact Jefferson County and Blount County.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday.
These same lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on April 1 through April 5.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
