BIRMINGHAM — On Wednesday and Thursday at 9 a.m., weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation will begin patching the roadway on I-59/20 northbound from one-half mile north of Bush Boulevard (Milepost 122.0) to one-half mile south of Arkadelphia Road (Exit 123), in Birmingham, as follows:
- Wednesday, April 3, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The I-59/20 northbound inside (left) two (2) lanes will be closed in the area during the paving operation.
- Thursday, April 4, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The I-59/20 northbound outside (right) two (2) lanes will be closed in the area during the paving operation.
All lanes are expected to re-open no later than 5 p.m. each day.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
