BLOUNT COUNTY — One person was shot and killed and another person was taken into custody Thursday night in the Highland Lake area.
The Blount County Sheriff’s Office said the person killed was Daniel Stockley. He was taken to UAB and had to undergo emergency surgery but was pronounced dead during treatment.
One person was taken into custody and was being questioned by investigators.
