BLOUNT COUNTY — In consideration of the severe weather that may hit parts of north central Alabama early on Monday afternoon, the Blount County Schools have decided to dismiss early.

According to a social media post, the school system will dismiss county schools on April 8 at 1 p.m.
Blount County Schools will be dismissing today, April 8th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. due to the continued threat of severe weather.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham said there could be a chance for severe storms across Alabama Monday night into Tuesday morning.
